Marco Island

Last Tuesday Derek had a conference for work in Marco Island.  We all tagged along as it is only a 3 hour drive.  The night before we let Toby sleep in Mya's bed as I was using Toby's bed for sorting wash and packing.  They loved it and at 6:15 Tuesday morning we heard the pitter patter of feet and it's time for vacation!

Right when we got there Derek had meetings so we enjoyed some McDonalds and the view of the ocean in the lobby.

It was very windy the 1st day as Tropical Storm Debbie was winding down, this was the view from our balcany.

Mya slept on the pull out couch, Toby on the cushions of the couch and I didn't get a picture of Levi but he slept in the pack n play in the bathroom.  Nap time and bed time were very interesting getting all of them to sleep in one room!

They waited patiently for daddy to be done with his meetings to go swimming!!  They loved it and by the end of the week they both were swimming around like little fish and putting their faces underwater.

We went to the grocery store to get some food and the cashier gave them coloring books and crayons.

We played at the beach during the day and borrowed the shade of the little huts you could rent for $50.

The kids LOVED the water slide.  I think they would have done this everyday all day if they could have:)

We got pizza and Calamari Wednesday night.  The kids liked it!

 Thursday night we walked to get ice cream.  We weren't leaving fast enough for Levi and he threw himself on the floor and rolled screaming under the bed.

 Derek took Mya running on the beach after we got back and Levi had fallen asleep.  Toby was quite devestated he couldn't go with but fruit snacks never fail to cheer him up:)
