To get into the Olympic spirit Mya took a gymnastics camp this past week. Well not really for the Olympics but we had her signed up for a ballet camp but that was cancelled. She was just as excited about gymnastics. She loved it!! and told me that the first day she wasn't quite like her normal self but then got used to it:)
Mastering the beam.
Having fun on the bars:)
Running, Skipping, and Jumping!
Somersaults off the springboard.
Climbing the rope.
Thursday they had Hawaiian day. Mya so cleverly thought to wear her swimsuit which she has always called her "Hawaiian suit":)
She got third place for being dressed in Hawaiian.
Friday they had a show for the parents to show what they had learned. They had them march onto the floor
then introduced each kid
then showed off their skills. This is Mya doing a cartwheel. She practice all week and was quite proud to master it:)
scale on the beam, "mom you always start with a lunge!"
Hanging on the bar
I forgot what she called this but I loved all her terms she would tell us in all seriousness
Participation award
The camp was from 9-12 every day and I would stay part of the time with the boys. On Friday during the show they had us come out on the floor so these pictures were taken with me holding Levi and trying to keep Toby from climbing over everything:)
