Animal Kingdom

Saturday we headed over to the Animal Kingdom.

We started off with an African Safari. There were lots of animals and it was a very fun and bumpy ride!

These ostrich were right next to the safari truck.

Mya loved looking at all the fishies!

Then we took a train ride (Mya's favorite part of the day) to Rafiki's Planet Watch.

We saw Jiminy Cricket...

and Rafiki himself,

Mya wasn't a big fan of him and hid behind the tree

but she sure was a fan of Pocapontas!!

We met up with some friends of our to see It's tought to be a bug inside the Tree of Life. Mya was so excited when we told her we were going to see Caroline and Hailey. She said, "Oh they are my friends, I like them, I want to give them hugs!"

and then it was lunch time.

Then Derek and Mya went on a Dinasour ride. If you ask Mya she'll say it went up and down and move her arm up and down.

At the end of the day we asked Mya what the last thing she wanted to do was and she said to ride the truck that went in the water. So we headed over to the African Safari again. The warthogs were asleep and a few seconds later I looked over to ask Mya if she was having fun...

and she was sound asleep. And believe me this is not an easy ride to fall asleep on. She was tired!

EPCOT

Right now for Florida residents have a great deal to get into the parks and Mya not being 3 yet still gets in free. We are taking full advantage and Saturday made our first stop to EPCOT. Also, Derek suprised me with an early (so I could use it as we go to Disney) 5 year anniversary gift of a new digital camera. It's a sweet tricked out camera that has cool lenses and all that jazz. So I had lots of fun trying it out!

We got there nice and ealy so we could take our time. Derek joked by the time we got all the stuff in the stroller, sunscreen on and kids settled it would be time to go:)

Right as we entered we found Daisey Duck. Mya loved the characters!

We headed right to the character spot thanks to a nice workers advice and there was no wait in line! Family picture with Mickey:)

Toby was quite intrigued by Pluto.

She ran right into her arms.

Not quite sure what to think.

Then we headed over to NEMO. We took a ride in a clam shell and Nemo talked to us!

Mya wanted to go in the shark and then once she got to the place to climb up she wanted Daddy to come with.

Right now at EPCOT they have the International Flower and Garden Festival going on so there were quite a few characters made up in flowers. Very cool!

This was in Mexico at a glass blowing shop. If you look closely there is Cinderella's glass slipper, a pumpkin carriage, and a castle.

Then we headed over to England where we met Tigger (doesn't he know not to mess with a sleeping baby)

and Pooh. She just kept giving him hugs.

Then we went to the garden and met Mary Poppings. This morning Mya put the top to the round hamper on her head and said she was Mary Poppins.

Then we strolled over to France and met Sleeping Beauty

and Belle. She was waiting all day to meet her. As soon as we walked away the Beast came so no pictures with him.

Then a short tirp to Moroco we met up with Aladdin and Jasmine. They really liked Toby and sat and played with him for a few minutes.

In Germany Mya enjoyed a pretzel almost as big as her! We had heard Snow White was in Germany but she was over at Magic Kingdom. Mya was a little dissapointed but ok because Snow White has a mean mommy.

A few countries over we found Mulan.

As we headed for a spot to watch the fireworks Mya was talking up a storm and then all of a sudden was quiet. The fireworks didn't wake either one of them up.

In the middle there is a globe. It came across the water and as it started to come I asked Derek what he thought it was, not as in I couldn't tell it was a globe but what it was made of. This lady next to me turned to me and said, "look really close." Like I was an idiot and didn't know what a globe was. It was a fun day had by all!

Bejeweled

So what did Derek do tonight? Played bejeweled for 4 1/2 hours. But don't worry it is not all for a lost evening...he made it to level 26, 539,851 points and ranked 669 in the PS3 world.

Fish, Egg Hunt and Easter Outfits

Since we won't be home Sunday morning at all we thought we'd take some Easter pictures a few days early.

Today (Saturday) our neighborhood had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids along with Bounce Houses and food.

Don't know why this picture is like this but Mya with all her loot. She was very excited for today.

Toby didn't mind the Easter bunny, Mya on the other hand wasn't quite sure and was bribed with a piece of candy:)

So instead of an Easter basket we thought we would get some fish. So we went to Wal-Mart and when the man asked if we needed any help my put her and on her chin and said, "we are just looking for a house for the fish."

Watching her fish. As for their names she wanted them all to be Nemo but just the orange one is. The other ones as Mya would say, the one with the really big tummy is Gus-Gus, the shiny sparkly one is Cinderella and the one with the orange face is Prince.
