Fall Fun

Two weeks ago (10/22) I took the kids to a pumpkin farm during the morning. It worked out great as we were the only ones there and could wonder around and take our time. Toby was ready for a nap and not much for smiles.

He did however LOVE this tractor. He stayed around it for most of the time.

Mya trying to pick up the pumpkins. When we left she told me we needed to go back with daddy because, "He has big strong muscles and can pick up the REALLY big pumpkins."

We also got some cucumbers (that Mya helped pick), limes, and apples. While we waited for daddy to get home from work we tried them all. Mya loved the cucumbers and tried a few bites of lime with sugar.

Toby wasn't a big fan of the lime:)

When Derek got home we made pumpkin seeds and pumpkin pie.

After we baked the pumpkin we had to scoop it out.

It got a 2 thumbs up! I had told Derek I didn't have very high expectations with using a real pumpkin and not stuff from a can but it turned out excellent.

The next day we did stop by another pumpkin place that we drove by long enough for just a few pictures. Mya and Toby really did have fun walking around even though it doesn't really look like it from the picture.

We found this Snow White dress for Mya at a rummage for $2.

Mya loves the show The Cat in the Hat that PBS has had on. So last Friday (10/29) we made a hat and dressed up like the cat. She has informed me now that the cat only has 2 wiskers not 3!

Friday night we headed to Downtown Disney. We switched Toby to his big boy carseat. He didn't know what to think about it at first but loves to watch movies:)

It ended up being a beautiful cool (75 degrees) night to walk around.

***PROUD WIFE ALERT*** Derek found out on Friday also that he got a promotion at work! So to celebrate we went to the T-Rex restraunt at Downtown Disney. Thanks for working hard babe!

Mya liked walking around looking at all the different dinosaurs. She thought this one was cool because she could pick it's nose. What a sweet thoughtful child:)
