Christmas Weekend

This past weekend we celebrated our Christmas. We started out Friday night with TGIF appetizers and some Christmas cookies while we watched...

White Christmas.

Then we slept by the Christmas tree. Mya did fall asleep by the Christmas tree. Toby fell asleep in his crib and then we moved him to the pack and play. Mya has been looking foward to sleeping by the Christmas tree for a LONG TIME!

Derek was brave and slept on the floor. I slept on a couch cusion...it was a long night!

We didn't wake up to a white Christmas with snow but we did wake up to a white Christmas with fog. Kind of fun:)

Then we read the Christmas story

Sang Happy Birthday to Jesus

Inspected the presents

Took one more picture

and opened presents. Toby got a car ramp.

Mya got a Cinderella barbie with all her dresses

With baby #3 on the way we needed to get Mya a bed so Toby can have the toddler bed and baby will get the crib. So after she went to sleep we changed her room.

I think she liked it, in fact she said she loved it!

We found the headboard on Craigslist and Derek painted it.

That night we headed over to DownTown Disney with Uncle Phil, Aunt Pam and Salina to see the lights.

All the girls to end a fun weekend!

Fire Station

Yesterday we made took a little "field trip" to the Fire Station with our playgroup. Mya had been asking every day for the last 2 weeks if this is the day we get to go to the Fire Station. She was also very curious to see if they had a fire dog. FYI - they are not allowed to have fire dogs anymore because of caring for them, allergies, etc.

Mya decided she didn't want anything do with being there but Toby was quite excited:)

This was after a little bribe of smiles for the day meant she could watch Mary Poppins.

After a while she warmed up and had a blast. She thought it was pretty cool to "just pretend" to drive the fire truck.

Toby thought it was pretty cool too!

Then they got to sit in the back with all the equipment.

So many things to see...

but what made him smile the biggest was this little window. On the outside was a fireman playing peek-a-boo with him and he thought that was great!

Animal Crackers...he was very disapointed to put them down to see what else was in his stocking...

Cars. I think Mya was more excited but now at least we have a boy movie in our house:)

This was just a cute picture from the other day. He got the rest of Mya's yogurt off of the table and this is how I found him. I'm not sure if he was just really proud of himself for getting it and feeding himself with the spoon or if he just liked the yogurt that much:) Either way he's pretty cute!

It's beginning to look alot like...

Christmas! (I need to put in here that it is just looking not feeling like Christmas, it has been in the 80's and so humid that twice in the last week the air has gone on) Friday night we decorated for Christmas. Mya was quite excited and Toby thought it was pretty cool too!

Helping dad put the tree up. We only had to go searching for one piece of the tree that Toby had put in the office.

They decided to be the Christmas Tree.

Mya found the santa hats and wore it for the rest of the night. She was taking a break here for a little snack of "green soda" (7 up) and some Mike n' Ikes.

Toby only keeps his on for about 1/2 a second.

He thought the lights were pretty cool. Derek was testing them and every time they would light up he would laugh.

Mya helping get all the ornaments out. I realize I didn't get a picture of the tree with all the lights and ornaments on but it wouldn't be an accurate picture anyways as Mya and Toby have daily re-arranged them:)

Saturday afternoon we attempted a GingerBread House.

That night they had Christmas on the Hill by our house. Mya loves going to the hill so when she found out there was also a Christmas tree she was very excited. About an hour before it started she had her shoes on (not sandals so the ants wouldn't eat her feet) and ask every 5 min if it was time yet. When we walked over the had bounce houses and all different types of Christmas cookies. As soon as we got through the line it started to pour so we ran home and waited for the rain to stop. We went back a little later for the carriage ride. We waited in line for an hour and a half but it was well worth the wait.

On the way back home Mya did inform us that it did not have a round top so it was not Cinderella's carriage. It was a fun weekend!
